Terms & Conditions & Warranty

General

By placing an order with Urban Door, the customer agrees to all terms and conditions stated herein. All products are custom-made unless otherwise specified and are non-refundable once production has commenced.

Product Nature

All doors are manufactured using timber, laminate, and related materials. Natural variations in grain, tone, and texture are inherent characteristics and shall not be considered defects.

Measurement & Installation

Site measurements will be confirmed prior to production.
Customers are responsible for ensuring site readiness (e.g., wall alignment, opening dimensions, structural conditions).
Urban Door shall not be liable for additional costs arising from site discrepancies, hacking works, or third-party works.

Warranty Coverage

Urban Door provides a limited warranty covering:

Manufacturing defects in door structure
Warping beyond acceptable tolerance (subject to assessment)
Hardware defects (hinges, locks) under normal use

Warranty Period:

Doors: 12 months from installation
Hardware: 6–12 months (depending on supplier)
All warranty claims are subject to inspection and approval.

Warranty Exclusions

The warranty does not cover:

Normal wear and tear
Scratches, dents, chips, or surface damage
Damage caused by misuse, negligence, or improper handling
Forceful impact, slamming, or excessive pressure
Exposure to water, moisture, humidity, or wet conditions
Installation in bathrooms, outdoor, or non-sheltered environments unless specified
Swelling, expansion, or contraction due to environmental conditions
Discolouration due to sunlight, UV exposure, or ageing
Damage from renovation works, third-party contractors, or modifications
Improper maintenance or cleaning with harsh chemicals
Misalignment caused by building movement, settling, or structural issues

Environment & Maintenance Responsibility

Doors are designed for indoor, dry conditions unless otherwise specified.
Exposure to excessive humidity, water, or extreme temperature changes changes may affect performance and void warranty.

Customers are responsible for:

Proper care and maintenance of doors and hardware
Avoiding excessive force or misuse
Ensuring doors are used within intended conditions

Failure to do so voids warranty coverage.

Liability Limitation

Urban Door shall not be liable for:

Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Loss of use, inconvenience, or delays
Costs arising from removal, reinstallation, or third-party works
Any damages beyond the original product value

Our liability is strictly limited to repair or replacement of defective items at our discretion.

Repairs & Replacements

Approved warranty claims will be repaired or replaced based on assessment
Colour and material variations may occur for replacements
Additional costs may apply for non-warranty repairs

Lead Time

Production timelines are estimates and may vary due to material availability, project scope, or unforeseen circumstances. Delays do not constitute grounds for cancellation or claims.

Acceptance

Installation completion or product usage constitutes acceptance of the product condition. Any visible defects must be reported immediately upon installation.

Amendments

Urban Door reserves the right to amend these terms at any time without prior notice.
